The Sacraments

shepherd5.jpgThe Lutheran church celebrates two sacraments: Holy Baptism and the Lord's Supper.  Through these means, God provides us with the benefits of Christian life, death, and resurrection.

Holy Baptism.  Through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism, the Holy Spirit unites us with Christ in His Body, the Church.  We become participants in His life, death, resurrection, and we join Him in lives of service as we await His return to fulfill the biblical promise.

The Lord's Supper.  This sacrament, like the Sacrament of Holy Baptism, is a gift from God.  In this Holy Supper, our risen Lord feeds us with His Body and Blood, through which we receive the forgiveness of our sins, the renewal of our faith, and the power to live God-pleasing, purposeful lives.
