Praise the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul. I will praise the LORD all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. - Psalm 146:1-2

This music team supports the missions of the church and the messages of the pastor through the selection, preparation, and presentation of music that is doctrinally sound, contemporary in nature, seasonally appropriate, and excellently presented. The team consists of a music leader, a panel of vocalists, and a selection of instrumentalists that varies according to what is appropriate for the music. The Praise Band strives for musical excellence in the songs we offer to the congregation and functions within the guidelines of the music ministry at GSLC in providing congregationally geared music during worship services.

The Praise Band leads the congregation during the contemporary-styled service format, which is currently offered at the 11:00 am service on the second Sunday of every month. Additionally, this music team provides support to other GSLC functions such as outreach events and social ministry events on an as-needed basis.

"I love participating in the praise band because singing in this group makes me joyful in the Lord. I like leading the congregation in uplifting music that rocks, especially the school age children that remember the words and music long after the service is over. I love to look at the congregation while they are singing and see the joy in their faces while they are worshipping in song." - Praise Band member
