Dear Parents,

Thank you for your interest in Good Shepherd Lutheran School.  Below you can download a brochure describing our program, a Class Offerings & Tuition Rates sheet, and an Application for Enrollment.

To register for the 2008-2009 school year, please fill out the Application for Enrollment form and submit it with a check for the $80 registration fee plus September's tuition.  The registration fee covers expenses such as art & craft activities, field trips, a school shirt and school bag, and a subscription to "Happy Times" magazine.  The registration fee is nonrefundable.  If your child has been enrolled and is unable to attend school in the fall, your September's tuition is refundable through May 1, 2008.  It is our hope that everyone who registers by the community registration deadline of February 15, 2008 at noon will be enrolled in a class of their choice.  Please be sure to indicate your second choice (class) on your form (should a lottery become necessary) so that we can meet your child's needs as closely as possible.  If you are enrolling after February 15 please call the school to confirm availablity of your class choice.

When you submit your registration, you will receive a health form that must be completed and signed by your child's physician.  We will need your child's health form prior to our first day of school (September 8th).  At that time, you will also need to present their original birth certificate (or passport) for identification.  Both the health form and the identification document are required by Virginia law.

Once your child is registered in a class, you will receive a mailing in mid-August that includes the Parent Handbook and gives you information about the first few weeks of school.  The Friday before school starts (September 5th) you and your child will have the opportunity to visit the classroom to meet the teachers, classmates, and other school families.  The May (last month's) tuition payment will be due by August 31, 2008.  All other tuition payments will be due your child's first school day of the month (October - April).  A limited number of financial aid scholarships may be available to qualifying families.  More detailed information will be given in your August mailing.
